Nelson’s Rest is a stylish retreat on the east Kent coast. This self-catering cottage is tucked away on Nelson Street in Deal’s historic Conservation Area where Georgian and Victorian terraced fisherman cottages line the streets and alleyways. Deal’s vibrant high street with its independent shops, restaurants, coffee shops and market is just round the corner and the beach only a few minutes walk away. The cottage sleeps 4 plus a cot.
With its white paintwork, wooden floorboards, seaside style and locally sourced retro vintage pieces this cottage delivers on coastal style and local living. It’s a great base for enjoying the beaches and beautiful countryside. Days can be filled with cliff walks, beach combing, walking and cycling, visiting our two castles, browsing for antique collectables or even a fishing trip. Sample fresh local fish with organic samphire grass, join a coastal foraging trip and feast upon wild food or simply grab a gourmet burger. For the golfers there are three great courses locally including Royal Cinque Ports. We welcome children of all ages and dogs too.
Deal is situated between Sandwich and Dover in White Cliffs Country and is loved by those who have discovered it. With its Georgian seafront, 1950s pier, pebble shoreline and independent shops this is a great destination at any time of the year.
